Muakaad set for Arlington Dermot Weld`s Muakaad is set to represent Ireland in the Arlington Million in Chicago tomorrow week.Owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum, Muakaad won the Meld Stakes at the Curragh on his last start over 10 furlongs, and will be ridden in Chicago by Pat Smullen.The Arlington Million run over 10 furlongs on turf has attracted four European challengers - including Muakaad.The Andreas Wohler-trained Silvano, already twice successful overseas this season in the Singapore Cup at Kranji, and in the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Sha Tin in Hong Kong, where he beat Dubai Duty Free winner Jim And Tonic, spearheads the German challenge.Silvano is accompanied from Germany by the Gary Tanaka-owned, Andreas Schutz-trained, globetrotting Caitano, who was runner up to Silvano in the Singapore Cup.The seven-year-old has raced in Canada, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Turkey and Japan, as well as in France, Italy and his native Germany.English-based trainer Gerard Butler sends Compton Bolter to Arlington for a second time.Last season Compton Bolter made late ground to finish fifth in the Secretariat Stakes, and this time he contests the Million, on the back of his recent Goodwood victory in a listed handicap under 9st 7lb.A total of nine European raiders are set to travel to Chicago for the Arlington International Festival of Racing.The Pascal Bary-trained Di Moi Oui represents France in the Beverly D, a race over nine and a half furlongs on turf.Four Europeans are scheduled to go to post in the Secretariat Stakes, which is run over 10 furlongs on grass.John Gosden`s Analyser, winner of the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot will continue his racing career in America after the Secretariat, as will the Roger Charlton-trained Aldwych.Newmarket trainer Michael Bell saddles the consistent Snowstorm, the mount of Michael Fenton, and the quartet is completed by the Criquette Head-Maarek-trained Mizzen Mast from France.
