Willie Mullins and Paul Townend may have suffered a reverse in the opener at Downpatrick but didn't have long to wait for compensation as Childrens List landed the Toals Bookmakers Football Rated Hurdle.

The 6/5 shot tracked leader Silver Tassie in the 2m2f contest before hitting the front three from home.

He stayed on stoutly in the closing stages to hold Coldstonesober at bay by two-and-a-half lengths.

It was a third win of the year for the Presenting gelding who had also won a bumper and maiden hurdle at Tramore.

Patrick Mullins, who was representing his father, said: "He's paying his way. I thought Paul was very good on him. I'd say he might be better going the other way. We'll continue to make hay at country tracks with the ground as it is."
