Willie Mullins will be double-handed in Friday's Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup at York after declaring both Max Dynamite and Simenon.

Max Dynamite finished second in the Northumberland Plate on his last Flat start but has subsequently claimed second place in last month's Galway Hurdle.

Simenon finished second in this race back in 2013 and he will take his chance again after finishing fifth in last month's Goodwood Cup.

The first three home that day, Big Orange, Quest For More and Trip To Paris are all in the mix once again.

The trio, trained by Michael Bell, Ed Dunlop and Roger Charlton respectively, fought out a thrilling finish at Goodwood with Big Orange holding sway over Quest For More by a neck, with a further short head back to Trip To Paris.

Ascot Gold Cup winner Trip To Paris was conceding 4lb that day due to his Group One penalty and he will have to give weight away all round again in this Group Two heat.

Clever Cookie steps back up to two miles for Peter Niven after finishing fifth in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, while Tac De Boistron will bid to bounce back to his best for Marco Botti after finishing last at Royal Ascot.

Dunlop also boasts a second string to his bow in Times Up, who won this race in 2012 while Vent De Force, Mizzou and Hidden Gold complete an 11-strong line-up.
