Mullins keen on Mourad

Willie Mullins is expecting Mourad to open his account for the season in the Horse and Jockey Hotel Hurdle at Thurles on Sunday.

The son of Sinndar showed smart form as a juvenile last season including when third behind Zaynar and Walkon in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham.

He filled the runner-up spot behind the useful Donnas Palm on his return to obstacles at Fairyhouse last month, and Mullins feels Sunday's Listed prize represents a good opportunity.

"Of those that I hope to run on Saturday and Sunday, Mourad is probably the one that I'm most looking forward to," said Mullins.

"On the ratings, he looks thrown in at the weights, so I'd be hopeful that he will be hard to beat."

Mourad faces just five rivals in the two-mile contest with Chicago Grey looking to build on his fine third in last week's Tara Hurdle. Next Week and Mick The Tooth both won on their latest racecourse appearances, while Cheers Jon and Mister Bishop complete the field.
