Mullins likely to aim high with Dr Wallace Trainer Mags Mullins is not ruling out a potential tilt at the Champion Bumper with Dr Wallace following his impressive debut at Navan on Sunday. The Flemensfirth gelding was an odds-on favourite for his racecourse introduction and scooted clear under Patrick Mullins, to seal a comprehensive victory. Dr Wallace was introduced into the Champion Bumper market at around 33-1 and while there is plenty of water to pass under the bridge between now and then, Mullins expects her charge to progress. "He was very impressive and I was delighted with him," said the Goresbridge handler. "He's a lovely, big horse and he'll be a nice horse to go hurdling or chasing with next year. "He'd only been on the grass once before and he was a little bit green in front. "Patrick jumped down off him and said 'this lad is a bit different'. "We'll go for a winners' bumper somewhere with him and give him a chance. "Whether he'll run at Christmas or we'll wait a bit longer, I'm not sure. "I wouldn't rule out running in the Champion Bumper at this stage. There's Cheltenham and then Punchestown later on. "I think there's a lot of improvement in him."
