Muraaqaba to miss Irish 1,000 Guineas Mark Johnston has ruled Muraaqaba out of the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh later this month. Last season's Sweet Solera Stakes winner failed to fire on her seasonal bow when trailing home a well-beaten last behind Osaila in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket last month. "The Irish 1,000 Guineas is not under consideration and we have no plans for her at the moment," said Johnston. "The dream was to run her in the 1000 Guineas, but she has not been herself and is just not sparkling. "There does not seem to be anything wrong with her, she just looks to have lost a bit of enthusiasm. "We have just left her alone a bit to freshen her up. She will have a gallop this week and we will see where we are after that."
