Murat takes out Leopardstown finale The Peter Lawlor-trained Murat was an impressive winner in the end, having set a ferocious gallop throughout. Jockey Harry Swan was able to slow things down around the five-furlong mark and that proved essential to the 3/4 of a length victory, fending off the Joseph O'Brien-trained Delta, who was closing all the way but couldn't match the winner on the day. Speaking after the race, trainer, owner and breeder Peter Lawlor said: "Straight to Galway now. I'll stick to the hurdles below in Galway. I'm not too sure what race he'll run in down there. When the rain comes and, he gets yielding ground, he'll be even better again. He's a big horse and, he wouldn't want it too quick." Quotes from John O' Riordan
