Cromane came with a strong surge to lead inside the final furlong and claim the mile nursery at Naas for trainer Joe Murphy.

Gary Carroll drove his mount to the front in the final 100 yards and she kept on well to post a length-and-a-quarter victory over the fast-finishing Two Bridage.

The winning Territories filly was making her handicap debut. She was stepping up in trip today having been well held in a six furlong maiden at the Curragh last time.

"That was wonderful. We are back in business again,” said Murphy.

“It was a nice nursery. She's a very well bred filly. She'll be a nicer three-year-old with soft ground over a mile-and-a-half.

“Gary said she wanted every yard of the mile.  We were lucky the rain came this morning which would have helped."
