Murphy has faith in Zaarito

Colm Murphy still retains plenty of faith in Zaarito despite the gelding's second fall in four outings over fences at Leopardstown on Sunday.

The eight-year-old came a cropper at the third fence in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase.

Although Zaarito has come out of the tumble in one piece, his rider Denis O'Regan suffered a broken collar bone.

"He seems OK. It was one of those things. He took a chance at it and paid the price," said the County Wexford trainer.

"He jumped around after the rest of them and it was Denis who came out of it worse."

Zaarito holds an entry in the Grade One Dr P J Moriarty Chase back at Leopardstown on Sunday week, although Murphy could opt instead for an easier option.

"I'm not sure where we'll go with him. He's in the Moriarty in two weeks' time. If we don't go there we might go for a winners of one somewhere," he went on.

"He'll have some more schooling in between time and he does jump well at home.

"Hopefully it's only a blip. He had the winner on Sunday (An Cathaoir Mor) behind him at Naas in December. But the fences are there to be jumped."
