Murtagh back on track Johnny Murtagh returns to action at Fairyhouse today having missed out last week's Festival at Listowel due to a sore back. Murtagh injured his lower back when his mount slipped up at Dundalk on September 6th, but had continued to race ride despite some discomfort until deciding to take a rest last week. Murtagh explains: "I was a bit tender when I returned originally, but the short break and physiotherapy have me back 100% fit and I am looking forward to the weekend." "I rode work on Rip Van Winkle this morning and can't wait to ride him again at Ascot on Saturday."
