Mustajeeb set for Breeders' Cup Mile

Royal Ascot winner Mustajeeb has been given a handy draw for Saturday's Breeders' Cup Mile at Santa Anita.

Dermot Weld's three-year-old colt finished third in the Irish 2000 Guineas and was a good second behind Bow Creek when last sighted in the Boomerang Mile at Leopardstown.

Pat Smullen is again given the chance to shine aboard the Nayef colt, who goes from stall four.

Richard Hannon's Toronado goes from trap five, while c ompatriot Trade Storm has been handed berth eight.

France is strongly represented by Anodin (nine), Veda (three) and Karakontie (14).

Smullen also receives the leg-up aboard Caspar Netscher in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint, for which the partnership race from stall 13.

David Simcock's five-year-old made a dramatic return to form at Woodbine a few weeks ago when he claimed Grade Two glory in the Nearctic Stakes.

Ballydoyle rely upon The Great War in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile.

A three-and-a-half-length winner of the Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh in September, Moore's companion goes from stall four in the 13-runner field.

O'Brien's strong hand within the two-year-old division if further evidenced by War Envoy's presence in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf on Friday.
