Irish raider Pine Dance was out of luck in the Clark Handicap at Churchill Downs in Kentucky last night.

The Dermot Weld-trained three-year-old, 10th behind Tiznow in the Breeders` Cup Classic previously, finished fifth in the #151,220 Grade Two contest.

The race was won by the D. Wayne Lukas-trained Surfside, who scored by four lengths under Pat Day.
