Today's final meeting of the turf Flat season at Naas has been given the all clear following a precautionary inspection.

Officials decided to have a look due to the threat of waterlogging after significant rain over the past few days and the forecast for further rain overnight.

However, the track was found to be fit for racing this morning with foggy conditions at present expected to lift and a dry forecast. The going is heavy.

The eight-race card gets underway at 12.20pm, with the Daragh Fitzpatrick & Colm White Local Bookmakers November Handicap going to post at 3.10pm.

Racing also takes place this afternoon at Cork where the highlight is the Paddy Power Cork Grand National.

The ground is currently described as soft to heavy on the hurdle course following 5mm of rain overweight, while the chase course is soft (soft to heavy in places).

There is the possibility of further showers today and the action begins in Mallow at 1pm.
