Nacarat takes Racing Plus Chase at Kempton Dashing grey Nacarat won a dramatic Racing Plus Chase at Kempton this afternoon. Paddy Brennan tracked the runaway early leader Fiendish Flame aboard the 9-2 winner before taking up the running down the back straight for the final time. Tom George's charge soon had his rivals in trouble but Hector's Choice (15-2) was able to keep tabs on him and going to the third last he went to the head of affairs. However, that rival got in too close to the obstacle and when Brennan took Nacarat back to the front, he was never to be headed again. A previous winner of the race, the 11-year-old powered home to score in style by 11 lengths, with top-weight Planet Of Sound (9-2) a further six lengths adrift in third. Brennan said: "He's a wonderful horse - it's all about him today. He loves Kempton and has had his day in the sun. You need to have speed and you need to stay at Kempton, and he has it all. Tom had him spot-on and was fitter than he'd ever been in his life." Owner Simon Clarke added: "I'm a very lucky owner. "He's given me some of the best days of my life. He loves it here - he jumps and he breaks other horses' hearts." George said: "He's always been a courageous horse and he's a pleasure to train. He's had a lot of racing, but we've managed to keep him happy. "We'll go to Aintree now, where there's the three-mile race he won last year (Betfred Bowl). He's been a wonderful horse for us."
