Narlita scores for favourite backers in the nightcap Narlita sent favourite backers home from Gowran Park in good cheer with victory in the Racing Again November 8th Handicap that concluded the action. She was well supported in the market from 9/2 to 10/3 favourite. The six-year-old mare raced in touch for Adam Caffrey and made her move entering the straight. Caffrey drove her to the front inside the final quarter of a mile and she kept up the gallop in the closing stages to see it out by a length and three-parts from Calzaghi (7/2) who briefly looked threatening in the final furlong. Ina Mina (22/1) was another two and a-half lengths away in third. Harry Rogers said: “A deserved win and the first time she’s got her ground. The further she goes the better she is. “She’s in Galway next Monday over a similar trip which should suit her again. “It’s nice for her owner Brendan Fitzpatrick. I trained winners for him years ago and he’s been lucky with this one.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
