Nasrullah target for Valentine Ado McGuinness has a big summer planned for Aussie Valentine after winning back-to-back at Leopardstown and Tipperary in June. Both victories came in rated races, but a return to a premier handicap looms for the seven-year-old gelding. The trainer said: “The plan for him is to go for the Nasrullah Handicap at Leopardstown (on July 12) and then maybe Galway. “We always thought he wanted soft ground, but he’s a lovely, light-actioned horse and he goes smoothly over quicker ground. “He has been 100 per cent sound since we have had him and I see no reason why he wouldn’t run a huge race in Leopardstown. “The handicapper has given him 4lb which wasn’t too bad. For once I speak well of the handicapper!” Aussie Valentine has been placed in the last four Irish Lincolns.
