Navan chases appear increasingly doubtful The opening five races (4 hurdles/1 bumper) were given the go ahead following an early morning inspection at Navan this morning but the final two chase races are still in major doubt due to frost. The chase track was found to be unraceable this morning but officials decided to delay a final decision in the hope of temperatures rising. Clerk of the Course Joe Collins said at 11.30am, "At present the chase course is still unraceable. The weather forecast predicted temperatures would rise but they have not risen as much as expected." "We will give the chase course every chance of thawing, and delay a final decision until as late as possible," added Collins.
