New Team Seeking Group Glory Connections of New Seeker are hoping the six-year-old can register his first Pattern-race victory in the Woodford Reserve Criterion Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. The Clive Cox-trained gelding, already a Listed winner, has been aimed at this Group Three contest over seven furlongs for some time. 'He'll run as long as the ground is on the fast side. It's been his target for a little while and all being well he'll be there,' said Matthew Budden, racing manager to owners the Elite Racing Club. The £50,000 added contest has attracted 14 entries, including Gerard Butler's Diomed Stakes winner Nayyir, who was a close third to Vortex in this race 12 months ago, and his stable companion Bayeux. Roger Charlton has put in Mac Love while other seasoned performers in the list are James Fanshawe's Polar Ben, Amanda Perrett's Royal Storm, Tim Easterby's Somnus and Suggestive, trained by Willie Haggas. Rae Guest's Bahia Breeze and John Dunlop's Kodiac complete the older brigade. There is also a strong three-year-old contingent of four comprising Kingsgate Prince, Misu Bond, Sir Xaar and Violette. ?
