New jock for Sole Power Sole Power will have a new jockey on board in Saturday's Temple Stakes at Haydock with top French pilot Gregory Benoist booked to take the ride. Benoist will be the 11th different jockey to partner the evergreen sprinter, who is now nine years of age. Trained by Eddie Lynam, Sole Power won the Temple Stakes back in 2011 and has also finished second in the Group Two and fourth twice. He was last seen being beaten just over four lengths by Profitable in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket. Benoist, who rides the Al Shaqab Racing-owned horses in France, will arrive on Merseyside with plenty of confidence having won the Group One Prix Saint-Alary earlier this week on Jemayel. With big meetings at York, Goodwood and the Curragh on Saturday, there is likely to be a shortage of jockeys. Jockeys' agent Shippy Ellis said: "Edward asked me who might be available and I suggested Gregory. "He's had 28 winners already this season and had a great Bank Holiday winning the Hocquart on Mekhtaal and the Saint-Alary on Jemayel. "He's a highly capable jockey, has had winners in the UK (Goodwood and Lingfield) and is firmly among the top jockeys around in France."
