True Light created a good impression when taking Tramore's mares' bumper on debut for Willie Mullins and Jody Townend.

The 2/1 favourite stalked Saddle Her Up on the downhill run to the final three furlongs and led on the bridle a quarter of a mile from home.

She asserted turning for home and kept on nicely to take the honours by two and a half lengths from another newcomer, Gaoth Chuil (14/1). Glory Liss was another five lengths back in third at 7/2.

This gave Mullins a double on the card. He also won the Tramore Racecourse Directors Chase with 10/11 favourite Fighter Allen

Townend said: “She was very good. I gave her a slap at the bottom bend and she took off on me - she gave me a fair feel for a few strides.

"She’s from the family of Twilight, who was a good horse for Willie, and hopefully she’ll be a nice horse for her owners.”
