No decision on Harbinger target Harry Herbert insists there is still no decision on whether Harbinger will be allowed to lock horns with Derby-winning stablemate Workforce in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes. The Dansili colt made it three wins from three starts this season with a runaway success in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday. He is now set to test the water in Group One company for the first time. A return to Ascot on July 24th would seem the logical next step but Herbert, racing manager for owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, admits a decision on his participation will ultimately be made by trainer Sir Michael Stoute. Herbert said: "He is a classic Sir Michael improver and you can see that in the physical development of the horse. "Sir Michael said all last season this would be his year and it's very exciting for everyone that he's won the three prestigious races he has. "I think the time has come for him to move up to Group One status but as yet I haven't spoken to Sir Michael about whether he goes for the King George. "We will obviously have a chat about it and if we do go that way we'll have to taken on a stable companion and Derby winner. "You would have to think the King George would be a likely scenario as we have to take that step at some point and it would be a dream to have runner there. "He is also in the Princess of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket's July meeting. "That's a Group Two and Sir Michael may want him to run there under a penalty."
