No plans for Delta Connections will give Oscar Delta time to recover from his run at Cheltenham last week before deciding on future plans. The 11-year-old, trained by Jimmy Mangan, was a leading fancy for the CGA Foxhunter Chase after unseating his rider with the race at his mercy 12 months earlier. However, a bad mistake at the 13th fence put paid to his chances this time and he could only finish 10th behind Tammys Hill. An obvious late-season target is the Champion Hunters Chase at Punchestown, in which he was second to Salsify last April. "He made a bad blunder at a fence down the back and that cost him dear, but he's come back in great form," said Mangan. "The owner is undecided about whether to go to Punchestown. I'll leave it up to her. If she wants to go there, we will. There's no decision yet, it's early days. "We'll give him a week to recover anyway."
