Punchestown don't foresee any problems ahead of their New Year's Eve meeting tomorrow.

Racing manager Richie Galway today reported the track in "good shape" despite 25mm of rain overnight.

Strong winds gusted around the track this morning but they have died down this afternoon and only showers are forecast before racing which kicks off at 12.05 tomorrow.

“Everything is grand. We had 25mm of rain overnight but a good drying day today,” said Galway.

“The track is perfectly raceable and there is no inspection planned.

“There is the chance of some showers but tomorrow is to be relatively dry. Obviously it's heavy and the ground is going to be very testing but we're in good shape.”
