Noble Exhibit impresses in Beresford Stakes The Aidan O’Brien-trained Noble Exhibit (10/11) was an impressive winner of the Group 2 Churchill Tyres Beresford Stakes at the Curragh under Wayne Lordan. The two-year-old son of Frankel had made a big impression on his last start in Punchestown when winning by seven lengths, and he backed up that performance with an all-the-way success. He stayed on strongly in the closing stages to keep the Paddy Twomey-trained City Of Dubai at bay and score by a length-and-a-quarter. Speaking after the race, stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He did the exact same in Punchestown as he did here. “He’s a horse that is well able to bowl along at a solid tempo and when Wayne got him balanced, after turning in, he just gradually picked up. “From the two down to the one, when he really asked him to quicken, he really did drop down and lengthen. He went out through the line well. “He’s a horse that is progressing very quickly with each run. “Now he goes into the mix with the others for the Futurity Trophy and the races in France at the backend. “He’s really one to look forward to for next year. He’s really starting to put everything together.” Lordan added:- "It was very straightforward. He's a lovely colt and he's progressed nicely from each run. I thought he was quite impressive in the maiden he won at Punchestown. I know the feel wasn't that strong, but he gave me a lovely feel and was impressive. "He bowled along here, went a nice even gallop, and he can really quicken. That's a huge bonus. "Thankfully I was here and I was able to ride him. He's started to show everyone what he has been promising at home. He's on an upward curve. "A mile is ideal, but he will have no problem going a mile and a quarter. He's a good traveller and he can quicken." After the race, it was announced that Paddy Power had installed Noble Exhibit as the 7/4 favourite for the Group 1 Futurity Trophy at Doncaster.
