Noble Nation hacks up in Naas opener Noble Nation (3/1 fav) had looked a promising type when winning at Sligo last August and made light of a lengthy absence since then when hacking up in the Dubawi Legend At Compas Stallions Handicap at Naas. Shane Foley's mount travelled powerfully throughout from his low draw and led on the far side two furlongs out after the runners had moved across to race near the stands' rail.  The Sioux Nation gelding, owned and trained by Ger O'Leary, readily went clear of his rivals and was eased down to win by five and a half lengths from Catherine Chroi.  “Shane said he absolutely loves the going,” said O’Leary.  “Six furlongs is his trip, he’s a half-brother to a good sprinter I had Primo Uomo and a lot of the family have won.  “The breeder is here today Sally Sweeney, Donal’s wife, and I was delighted she was here to welcome him in.  “God knows what rating we’re going to get after this but Shane said the ground is the key to him, as soft as you can get it.  “That was very enjoyable to watch. There is a race in Cork for him but we’ll go back and look at the calendar now.”  Quotes from Gary Carson
