Northern Duo Head York Field Northern challengers Blue Spinnaker and Zero Tolerance were left carrying joint top-weight of 9st 10lb following yesterday´s final 48-hour declaration stage for the John Smith´s Cup at York tomorrow. The weights were raised 1lb following the defection of original top-weight Fruhlingssturm from the £150,000 heritage handicap. A maximum field of 20 is set to line up and heading the runners are market leaders Mullins Bay and Notable Guest. The former, trained in Ireland by Aidan O´Brien, is 7-2 favourite with Ladbrokes following the final declaration stage.
