Noseda hoping for rain for Spirit Jeremy Noseda is praying for rain in Yorkshire to allow Fleeting Spirit to take her chance in next week's Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes. The five-year-old has shown up well in the Golden Jubilee and the July Cup in her two starts this year, but her trainer feels she will be even more effective with some cut in the ground. "Fleeting Spirit is training well and whether she runs in the Nunthorpe is all down to the ground. I'll decide nearer the time," said Noseda. "I'd love the ground to be on the easy side of good. I have to be a little careful with her as she didn't let herself down on fast ground last time, so I hope it rains all week." Noseda could also saddle Group Therapy in the Group One contest, although he admits it will depend on how strong the field looks nearer the time. "With Group Therapy, we'll also have a look at the Nunthorpe," the trainer continued. "He'd want the ground fast and I'm not sure he's good enough so we might look elsewhere. "He would want one or two of the top contenders to drop out for us to consider it."
