Nytol followed up victory in a three-mile maiden hurdle here in May when taking the Follow Us On Instagram Mares Handicap Hurdle at Cork.

The seven-year-old daughter of Pour Moi, owned and bred by Sean Fitzgibbon, asserted on the run-in under John Shinnick to beat Chosen Shant by two and a half lengths with Vroomvroomboo just a neck back in third.

Winning trainer Terence O’Brien said of the 6/1 winner, “We knew she was in good form but we just thought the ground might be a bit quick.

“The last day I thought she needed the three miles here and it was only in the last furlong or so that she put it to bed.

“She was strong at the finish again and is progressing. We might try to find another mares handicap.

“I’m delighted for Sean Fitzgibbon as he gave her to me and has never put any pressure on. He’s a model owner to have and gets a great kick out of it.”
