O'Brien Launches Determined Challenge For 1st Group Race at Gowran Park Aidan O'Brien saddles three of the ten runners in the featured Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud E.B.F. Fillies Stakes at Gowran Park tomorrow. The first Group race (Group 3) ever to be held at this picturesque track has attracted a quality field with Kieren Fallon booked to ride O'Brien's Race For The Stars, fourth in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh and also fourth in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, likely to head the betting market. One of her chief rivals is bound to be Joseph Murphy's Ardbrae Lady, runner up to Nightime in the Irish 1000 Guineas and last time sixth to Alexander Goldrun in the Pretty Polly Stakes over the same course in early July. Aidan O'Brien also saddles recent Naas winner, Be My Queen, and Lily Elsie while the in-form Peter Casey yard is represented by last month's Curragh listed winner, Blessyourpinksox, with Johnny Murtagh in the saddle. There is also one English raider among the field with Declan Daly's Poetical making the journey from Newmarket.
