Connections of Investec Derby ante-post favourite Churchill have hinted the Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown could be his next target.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained two-year-old is as short as 14-1 for next year's Epsom Classic after his striking victory in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Churchill, a son of Galileo, is now likely to be stepped up in class for the Group Three Tyros Stakes on July 21 in a bid to give the Ballydoyle trainer a 10th victory in the race.

O'Brien has won the seven-furlong contest with the likes of Rip Van Winkle, Cape Blanco, Gleneagles and Deauville last year.

Kevin Buckley, Coolmore's UK representative, said: "Churchill has come out of the race at Ascot well.

"He is well above average and is a serious horse.

"He is high up there with the best of them. We could look at the Tyros Stakes now with him."
