O'Brien still on course for French Derby Aidan O'Brien could still be represented by Black Sea and Bravery in the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly on Sunday. Black Sea was unplaced in the Dante when last seen, while Bravery ran a fine race to be fourth in the Irish Guineas. The big news on Thursday was that Roger Charlton has taken the bold step to switch up to Group One company with Imperial Aviator following his easy success in the London Gold Cup at Newbury last month. The Paco Boy colt had previously beaten Ulysses, who is a leading fancy for Saturday's Investec Derby at Epsom, in a Leicester maiden in April. The Gianluca Bietolini-trained Dicton was also added to the field at a cost of 72,000 euros after finishing third in the French 2000 Guineas. The Harry Dunlop-trained Robin Of Navan stands his ground along with John Gosden's Foundation and the Richard Hannon-trained Ventura Storm. A total of 17 runners are still in the mix with Zarak, Mekhtaal and the Andre Fabre-trained pair of Talismanic and Floodlight also among the contenders ahead of Friday's final declaration stage.
