O'Brien works Wonders at Chester

The Aidan O'Brien trained Wonder Of Wonders justified her market position (6/5f from 7/4) when winning the Cheshire Oaks well at Chester today.

Chester’s tight track didn’t appear to suit the daughter of Kingmambo but, under Ryan Moore, Wonder Of Wonders quickened well in the straight to comfortably defeat Blaise Chorus by two and three parts of a length.

"She's a big scopey filly and she travelled well. She lengthened really well and she stays well and felt like a very nice filly," the jockey told Channel Four Racing.

The win was O'Brien's third win in the race in the last four years. Paddy Power slashed her from 16/1 down to 10's for the Investec Oaks, while Sky Bet go just 8/1.
