Michael O'Callaghan is weighing up options for Steel Bull after he missed an engagement at Tipperary last week due to unsuitable soft ground.

The three-year-old was last seen finishing third in a Listed sprint at Sandown in June.

“He’s come out of the race at Sandown very well and we’re feeling our way with him this year as it can be difficult for a three-year-old sprinter with the conditions of races," the trainer said.

“There is a Listed race back at Tipperary over five and if he was to run well there we might think about running him in the Flying Five.

“He has an entry in the (Group One) Flying Five on Irish Champions Weekend.

“Fingers crossed that he gets a nice bit of ground the next day so that he can take his chance.”

The Clodovil colt landed the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood during his juvenile campaign.
