O'Connor & Tyner lead the way in 'points'

Jockey Derek O'Connor leads the way at the head of the Jockeys' Point to Point Championship at the mid-point of the season, while Co Cork trainer Robert Tyner heads the Handlers' Championship.

It is very much a case of 'as you were' for O'Connor this season, as he again leads Jamie Codd by 48 to 36 winners. O'Connor has been Leading Rider on five previous occasions while Codd has finished second to O'Connor on each of the last three seasons.

Trainer Tyner leads Gordon Elliott 23 - 20 at the head of the second running of the Handlers' Championship. Last year's winner Eugene O'Sullivan is currently thrd on nine winners.
