O'Grady makes late decision on Sailor Edward O'Grady decided against declaring Sailors Warn for Saturday's Betfair Hurdle at Newbury due to the adverse weather forecast. The five-year-old, second to Unaccompanied at Naas on his penultimate start, finished seventh, beaten five lengths in the Ladbroke last time out. He was due to travel over this weekend but O'Grady changed his mind at the last minute. "He left the yard this morning at 4.45am but by 7.15am he had turned round to come back home," said O'Grady. "I spoke to Richard Osgood (Newbury clerk of the course) and he told me there was an 80-90% chance of snow tonight and I had to make a decision there and then. "Don't get me wrong, I hope the meeting is on, but I had to make a decision that I thought was right for the horse and the owner. "If the meeting is off they might reschedule and he'd be a possible runner if they do."
