O'Sullivan completes double on The Cobblers Wife Alan O’Sullivan landed his second winner of the evening when The Cobblers Wife took the Bluegrass Horse Feeds Handicap Hurdle at Tramore. The Mick Byrne-owned eight-year-old was having her first start for Tony Mullins and she battled well from the final hurdle to get the better of the Harry Kelly-trained Princess Felicia by a neck. Both horses were returned at odds of 9/2 and their fellow co-favourite Maxicourt came home in fifth place. O’Sullivan’s double saw him join both Eoghan Finnegan and Josh Williamson at the head of the conditional jockeys’ championship on 12 winners. Mullins said afterwards, “I don't know who benefitted financially, but there seemed to be a lot of money for her. Mick doesn't bet and I didn't back her. “She had a good run here her for her previous trainer on her second-last start. She's well handicapped and, if she can improve a little and build on that, we'll go for the same type of race again. "I don't know much about her. I only have her seven or eight weeks. She's a very straightforward filly that seems to like good ground. We'll make hay while the sun is shining.” Additional reporting by John O'Riordan
