O´Brien Ponders Guineas Plans Aidan O´Brien has still to decide whether his two Newmarket Guineas winners Footstepsinthesand and Virginia Waters will go next for the Irish versions at the Curragh later this month. The winners of the 2000 and 1000 Guineas respectively, both are reported to be doing well back at Ballydoyle, although Footstepsinthesand has picked up a very minor bruise. Although stressing he was uncommitted, O´Brien hinted that he was tempted to send Virginia Waters for the Irish 1000, reporting the filly to be a 'definite possibility' at this stage. Speaking to Racing UK on Thursday, O´Brien said: 'Footsteps had a little bit of a stone bruise yesterday but he is in good form. Virginia Waters is in good form - she galloped this morning and seems grand. 'They are both possibles for the Irish Guineas. We are not really sure what´s going to happen. Virginia Waters is a definite possible - it looks a nice race to go to, but we are not sure about Footsteps. 'We will see what happens with the other colts but he is a possible.' Asked if Footstepsinthesand´s stone bruise would interrupt his preparation, O´Brien replied: 'He swam this morning and if it´s not perfect he´ll swim again tomorrow, but he won´t lose any time and hopefully it will clear up very quickly.' ?
