Cork's five-furlong handicap for three-year-olds only was won by Allsortz (6/1) who was prominent throughout under Luke McAteer.

The Bated Breath gelding, a maiden winner at Dundalk over six furlongs, was placed in a Naas handicap over that trip on his previous outing and reversed form with the two who finished in front of him on the latter occasion.

Challenged on either side inside the final furlong, the MRC International-owned winner found enough to fend off Joyful Tidings and Bad Boy Rizz by half-a-length and three-parts of a length.

Winning trainer David Marnane commented "To be fair to him, he has grown up and become a man this year. He is getting better and better with every run and is really finding in his races now, and is doing things right.

"He is a progressive sprinter, there is more to come as he is only a three-year-old and his half-brother (stablemate Sirocco Sands finished second) didn't do too bad in the first race.

"It's funny, I actually think that Allsortz could make a lovely dirt horse as he pings the gates, he finds in his races and also has dirt racing in his pedigree."
