ONE TO NOTE Family honour was upheld as You Are The One made a winning debut in the opening event at Newmarket today. With her relations including One So Wonderful and Alnasr Alwasheek the filly had a lot to live up as she tackled the fcl Vera Verrall Memorial Maiden Stakes. But You Are The One indicated that she has inherited plenty of ability with a plucky display to land the spoils. Jamie Spencer`s mount ran green in the early stages but once she realised what was required was able to reel in the leader Azaan. You Are The One, the 13-8 favourite, had to pull out a little extra in the final 100 yards as Azaan rallied to ensure a head verdict. 'She`s had a few problems - we`ve had her ready to run a few times but the ground has been too firm,' said trainer Luca Cumani. 'But they`ve done a good job with the watering here and I was happy to run her. 'We`ll see how she is and might be upping her in class now.'
