Oaks Favourite Set For Musidora

Passage Of Time is on course to make her eagerly-awaited reappearance in the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York on May 16.

Henry Cecil's filly currently heads the ante-post markets for the Vodafone Oaks after signing off her juvenile campaign with victory in the Criterium de Saint-Cloud back in November.

She has reportedly delighted the Warren Place maestro throughout the winter and will attempt to enhance her tall reputation in the Group Three prize on the Knavesmire.

Speaking on his website, www.henrycecil.com, Cecil said: 'Passage Of Time has done well over the winter, but I am in no hurry with her at the moment. The idea is to bring her along for the Musidora in May.

'Hopefully, this season will see her contesting the major fillies races ? including the Oaks ? over a mile and a quarter to a mile and a half.'

Should Passage Of Time take her chance in the Musidora, she will bid to provide her trainer with his eighth success in the race.

Diminuendo, Snow Bride and Reams Of Verse all landed the contest before enjoying Classic success in the Epsom Classic, for which Passage Of Time has been cut to 6-1 from 8s by Ladbrokes.

David Williams, spokesman for the ?Magic Sign', said: 'If the market is any guide, Henry Cecil ought to dust down his old flag. He could well be hoisting it up above Warren Place as his filly has been backed for the Oaks at the expense of anything else in the race.'
