Odyssey Heading To France Connections of leading fancy Olympian Odyssey have opted to bypass the Vodafone Derby at Epsom on Saturday and head to the French equivalent at Chantilly 24 hours later.The Barry Hills-trained Sadler's Wells colt finished a fine third behind George Washington and Sir Percy in the Stan James 2000 Guineas last time out.But owner Bill Gredley has since expressed doubts his charge will get the mile-and-a-half trip at Epsom and the extended 10 furlongs of the Prix du Jockey-Club has been deemed more appropriate.'It has been decided that Olympian Odyssey will run in the French Derby and Jamie Spencer will ride,' a stable spokesperson told PA Sport.'Obviously Mr Gredley has until 10am tomorrow to make a final decision but, in all probability, he will go for the French Derby.'(C) PA Sport
