Ogden joins forces with Vaughan

Robest Ogden has become the latest high profile owner to join forces with Tim Vaughan following his decision to send the Glamorgan trainer Coq Hardi.

Vaughan has taken delivery of horses from Paul Beck, Harry Findlay and Michael Owen in recent months and, following Ogden's decision, reported "it is obviously a great honour to have a horse owned by Sir Robert Ogden and I thank him and his racing manager Barry Simpson for their faith in me.

"It goes without saying that having such a high profile and successful owner is a major boost for everybody connected with the yard and I hope that Coq Hardi will continue to progress with us and compete in the better handicap chases over the coming season."

Vaughan also revealed that Gay Sloane has been moved to him from trainer Noel Meade.

"Gay Sloane has shown progressive high class form on the Flat and over hurdles for Noel Meade and his arrival is certainly another indication as to increasing quality of horse coming into the yard," he said.
