The opening 6f claiming maiden at Dundalk was won by even-money favourite Best Suggestion under Ben Coen.

Placed in a couple of sprints at Navan and sixth over 7f on his all-weather debut here last week, the Neil Dalzell-owned winner came with his challenge approaching the final furlong and led over 100 yards out to beat Heaven's Wish by a neck.

Winning trainer Andy Oliver said: "He is what he is and we are where we are. Ben gave him a nice ride.

"The figures between ratings and the weight that he was carrying put him in there with a favourite's chance. It was nice to get it done.

"You can't get excited about this sort of thing but he is a winner and, if he goes, he has done his job."

The winner was claimed for 10,000 Euro by trainer John McConnell.
