Colbert Station is likely to have just one more run before the John Smith's Grand National following his victory over hurdles at Punchestown yesterday.

Trained by Ted Walsh, who saddled Papillon to win the National in 2000, the JP McManus-owned nine-year-old justified favouritism with a fine performance in the ultra-competitive Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Reverting to hurdles at the weekend, Colbert Station stayed on strongly to get up under Tony McCoy and is now towards the forefront of the ante-post betting, at around 20/1, for the Aintree centrepiece on April 6th.

"He's had a few runs now and he's fit and well, so I think he'll have one more run before Aintree," said Walsh.

"He'll probably just have one more run in about a month's time. He's in the Racing Plus Chase at Kempton and there are plenty of options for him here as well, so we'll see how we go."
