Osi okay after Cork fall

Tony Martin is in no rush to commit Osirixamix to future targets following his luckless defeat at Cork on Sunday.

The eight-year-old looked set to inflict a shock defeat on multiple Grade 1 winner Golden Silver in the Hilly Way Chase when coming to grief at the final fence.

"He's a horse who has two ways of running and the other day was a good day for him, but it wasn't to be," said Martin.

"It's a shame, as it would have been a nice pot to win, but there's not a bother on him and hopefully he'll win one somewhere along the line. We'll give him a bit of time before we decide where to go next."

Another inmate Martin is keen to take his time with is exciting youngster Dedigout.

The five-year-old has won twice from as many starts over hurdles but his trainer will not be stepping him up in grade just yet.

"He's a nice, young horse. He's still quite immature and he's learning about the job all the time," added the County Meath handler.

"There is no hurry with him. He won't be running anywhere over Christmas and it will be well into the new year before he's out again.

"We won't be over-facing him just yet, but he's done everything right so far and hopefully he's one to look forward to."
