Ostankino All The Way Ostankino led from start to finish to land the ?120,000 Prix Maurice de Nieuil at Maisons-Laffitte yesterday.Well-ridden by Stephane Pasquier, the Elie Lellouche-trained four-year-old held on by a head to repel the late run of the favourite Short Pause and Christophe Soumillon.Willie Mullins´ Irish raider Holy Orders was a big disappointment and never featured in the Group Two contest, finishing a well-beaten last of the six runners.Rhodesian Winner was a further length adrift in third, while 2004 French Derby winner Blue Canari finished fourth on his first attempt at the one-mile-six-furlong trip.Pasquier said of the winner: 'He hasn´t got much of a turn of foot, so I thought it was better to set the pace and let them try and get to me.'(C) PA Sport
