Ouija Plans Undecided

Connections of star mare Ouija Board are still considering whether to make a quick reappearance at next week's Royal Ascot meeting.

The five-year-old finished a close second to Shirocco in the Coronation Cup at Epsom 10 days ago and trainer Ed Dunlop is mulling a couple of options for the daughter of Cape Cross.

'She may well be running at Royal Ascot, although there has been no decision as yet,' he told www.edunlop.com.

'We will look at both her options ? the Prince Of Wales's and the Hardwicke Stakes.

'She has come out of her race at Epsom well and I'm happy with her. She had five days in the paddock after she ran and she returned to cantering for the first time on Friday.

'She has put all her weight back on ? and more ? that she lost. But we know she had a hard race at Epsom, so we will see how she is.

'I was very pleased with her effort there. It was a good run. For a moment, I thought we were going to beat Shirocco. But he is a very good horse ? one of the best in the world.'

Ouija Board won both the English and Irish Oaks in 2004 before adding further successes in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf and last year's Hong Kong Vase.
