Stablemates Outlander and Avant Tout fought out the Grade Two novice chase at Limerick before the former kept on best to win by a length and three quarters for Willie Mullins.

The 1/2 favourite, from 4/6 on opening show, faced a challenge from Avant Tout (6/1) but the latter made a slight mistake at the second last which did him no favours.

The pair were locked together at the last but once Outlander cleared it he maintained the gallop for David Mullins to score by a length and three parts.

David Mullins said: "He jumps and stays well and went on today's ground but I think he's better on better.

"When he runs in a more competitive race on better ground he could be an RSA horse and could have a big shout to going to Cheltenham this year."
