Outside The Door makes all & trounces rivals in Wexford feature Registering a third course win, Outside The Door made all and trounced his rivals in the feature Traynors Of Wexford Handicap Chase. Winning this long-distance heat for the second year in-a-row, the Padraig Roche-trained nine-year-old was fifth in the Mayo National on his latest start and was sent off a 11/2 chance this evening. Jumping left at times under Peter Smithers, the 128-rated bay still appeared to have plenty in the tank approaching the straight and he increased his advantage from two out, ultimately coming home 12-lengths to the good. Returned a 9/2 joint-favourite, Tullyveery Lad filled the runner-up spot under Donagh Meyler for Ray Cody, while Sam Magee (11/1) was another two-and-a-quarter lengths back in third. The Paul Nolan-trained Juniper Hill was the other joint-favourite and she finished a disappointing eighth. "He got a bit of a bump the last day and when that happens it's not ideal," Roche reflected. "He seemed to like it (going out in front) and that's his third win here now, so he enjoys this place. The further the better for him. It's grand to get another win out of him, he's been some servant. "I'd say if he gets in at the bottom for the Kerry National we will give him a go. He likes going left-handed and it's a good pot. Peter is after winning on him a couple of times and could claim off him too. He'll go on any ground." STEWARDS REPORT * The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Prince Zaltar (FR), trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
