Dark Outsider supplemented his victory at Clonmel a week ago when running out a game winner of the handicap chase at Tramore this afternoon.

Danny Mullins tracked the leaders on the 2/1 favourite in the 2m6f contest and he had to survive an early scare with a mistake at the third.

James Dullea 's charge was produced to lead going to the second last but Shane Billy and Fiddlers Bow both threw down strong challenges at the final fence.

Dark Outsider found plenty for Mullins on the run-in, sticking his head out close home for a half length success. Fiddlers Bow took the runner-up spot by a neck.

"Danny is flying at the moment and gave him a great ride,” said Dullea.

"I took a bit of a chance running him with just a seven days turnaround from Clonmel but there was a big incentive with just a 4lb penalty instead of the 8lb.

"He's a bit better going left-handed and did well to win going right-handed on a tight track like this.

"He wouldn't go on real winter ground but if there was some nice ground near the end of the month we might be tempted to run him again.

"We have always been very lucky around here."
